The Ministry of Personnel Management will conduct the ‘2024 Regular Property Change Report for Public Officials’ until the end of next month. Around 290,000 public servants, including various government officials and specific ranks within certain fields, are required to disclose their property. This year, virtual assets and deposits must also be declared, irrespective of their amount. Changes in these declared assets will be publicly disclosed through the Public Service Ethics System by March-end.
Stringent measures like fines, dismissal, or disciplinary actions will be taken against individuals making false property declarations or acquiring property through confidential information obtained during their duties.
To handle an anticipated surge in inquiries during the reporting period, the Ministry plans to increase counseling personnel for the Public Service Ethics System and offer round-the-clock support with a counseling robot.
