Cha & Kwon Law Offices and Blockchain Forum Selected for MSIT’s Blockchain Legal Study

Cha & Kwon Law Offices and the Blockchain Forum Research Team have been selected as joint preferred bidders for the 2025 “Blockchain Legal System Research Project,” commissioned by the Ministry of Science and ICT (KISA).

This project constitutes the second phase of a multi-stage initiative to establish a systematic legal framework for blockchain technology. Building on prior research focused on a Basic Act, the upcoming phase will involve an in-depth study that includes the publication of a legal commentary.

The research will be led by Managing Attorney Ohoon Kwon of Cha & Kwon Law Offices, with Attorneys Ungchae Jung, Shinyoung Choi, and Seoyeon Byun participating as co-researchers.

The team expressed its ambition to ensure that the research extends beyond mere regulatory refinement and contributes to building institutional support systems that can drive sustainable growth in the blockchain industry.
